DR. A B C stands for Danger, Response, Airway, Breathing, and Circulation. This process helps First Aiders carry out the necessary checks when attending to casualties. This process focuses on the steps needed to save a life, make sure the casualty can breathe and how to use a defibrillator if needed.

We took part in a group activity where we had to memorise the acronym DR. A B C and explain what needed to be done in each step. If you hesitated or answered incorrectly, you were out. It was intense, though, happy to say that I was one of the last two standing.
